“ This place opened as An Loi Happy Bowl last year. The food was pretty good. We got take out from there quite a few times. It's closed now with a sign on the door saying it's under new management, but it remains closed during the hours it used to be open. I'd love to see it reopen, but I can make spring rolls, summer rolls, and some facsimilie of pho here at home. The Indian place a few doors away remains open, and still has good korma, cashmere, and vindaloo, to go with the pakoras. ”
“ Apps: We had the dumplings and chicken curry. Both were delicious and would highly recommend! Main: We had two different types of Pho and both were incredibly flavorful with just the right amount of heat. Service: This just reopened with new management and they were very welcoming and attentive. They were great to chat with and you could tell how passionate they were about their food. We will definitely be going back! ”
“ This place recently got new management, and, as a Vietnamese person who has had plenty of pho, I can not recommend this place more. I am certain it is the best in the area. I have not been here prior to the reopening with the new management, but prices are more or less the same compared to other Vietnamese cuisine restaurants. However, you get a LOT of food. I got summer rolls with peanut sauce, a Vietnamese coffee, pho, and chả giò (fried spring rolls). For the pho, the noodles were excellently done and soft. They taste similar to what you would expect, but I can go on and on about how amazing the pho broth is. It was so good and very herbal, which is something that stood out to me. If anyone gets the fried spring rolls, ask them for a side of lettuce to wrap it with (no extra cost), and dip it in the sauce. It tastes amazing. I also have nothing but compliments for the summer rolls. They are simply made and amazing with the peanut sauce. The thing I loved the most about my lunch was 100% without a doubt the Vietnamese coffee. They recommend it cold, but a family member got it hot and I tried and loved it just as much. When they deliver the coffee, you can not drink it immediately, because they serve it as it is getting filtered by the Vietnamese coffee filter. You get the experience of mixing it yourself after a bit of waiting, and the coffee is so so rich. You can ask for more milk if you like (it already comes with a bit of milk prepared at the bottom as the coffee is being filtered, and you mix it afterwards). If this sounds confusing, one of the workers will help you. I can not express how rich it is. It is super flavorful. Because it just reopened, I am looking forward to if they ever serve desserts. I am sure they won't disappoint! The service is spectacular. The Vietnamese/Hoa people that work there are very nice. It is very clear how much love they put into this restaurant. Though English is not their first language, they are gentle and friendly, and they return kindness and respect tenfold. I can not recommend a place more! ”
“ Great find! Just opened 6 months ago. Beautiful interior and food just as good. Will definitely return many times and try ”
“ "Mindfulness," is an interesting name for a Vietnamese restaurant. Thich Nhat Hanh, the famous Buddhist philosopher would be pleased that a meditation on his writings was a central tenet of the new An Loi on York Road, Buckingham, PA. It is not every day that an old Thai kitchen is replaced by a Vietnamese. It is somehow appropriate that it remains in Asian hands. I was there for a midafternoon dejeune, with the intention of dining in for part of the meal, and taking the rest home for the enjoyment of others. Not in the mood for a bowl of pho, I ordered an app of Ground Beed Wrapped in Grape Leaves (Bo Nuong La Nho) and a Viet Hoagie with Grilled Pork (Banh Mi Thit Nuong), with a hot Green Tea chaser. They were both quite good, if not outstanding. The four grape leaves were stuffed with finely ground beef and mildly savory spices, with a sweet/sour dipping sauce on the side and accompanied by slivers of carrot and daikon. I had never seen a wrapped grape leaf dish on a VN menu. but was game to try. It was an unusual taste that I didn't love, but found nuanced and acceptable. The Banh Mi was also overflowing with strips of bbq pork, cilantro, carrot, daikon radish and chunks of cucumber. Pretty traditional, although the French roll was a tad dry even with the slathering of mayo. Still, it was a wholesome, fun chew. Service was friendly and timely. Ambiance was utilitarian modern with with mildly Asian decoration. I will sample the pho next time, to appreciate the panoply of flavors and textures available from a mindful kitchen. ”
“ We went on mothers day after a trip to peddlers village, it was recommended by a few of my friends. Many of the options that we were looking for were sold out that day, but as to be expected on a national holiday, the father was the main center of attention, was pleasing and lived up to its expectations. The fried rice was not good very bland, but they made accommodations for it. We might also does the rice noodle bowl, but she makes it into a salad. That's like a low-carb option for her. That thing was very delicious. A must try. ”
“ Amazing food - we're so happy this restaurant is here! The pho is pho-king incredible, and the standard by which we judge all Vietnamese restaurants we go to; rich, flavorful broth. Good quality ingredients and good portions. We also tried something new which we've never had before which we absolutely loved. A6 on the menu. Ground beef stuffed into grape leaves and fried with peanuts and fried onions and a delicious spicy dipping sauce. I think this will be our new regular appetizer to have with our pho. Service was excellent, and seemed to be entirely family fun while they are still trying to find staff to help them run things. Very friendly and hospitable. The decor is nice. Classy, simple, clean. Just perfect. Not only we will be back here again, I think this is our new favorite restaurant in the area. We live 5 minutes away so I think they are going to be seeing a lot of us... ”
